JOB DETAILS
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced workshop role where precision, consistency, and technical curiosity matter. As a PDI Workshop technician you will play a critical role in ensuring every device that leaves our workshop is fully built, configured, and ready to perform perfectly in a client environment.
You will take ownership of the full pre‑delivery process – from unboxing through to final testing and preparation for dispatch. If you enjoy working with technology, solving practical challenges, and seeing tangible results from your work, this role offers a strong sense of achievement and impact.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assembling and preparing photocopiers and printers for deployment
- Installing peripherals and upgrading firmware
- Configuring devices to meet specific client requirements
- Completing system initialisation, calibration, and functional testing
- Applying manufacturer and Apogee settings
- Preparing devices safely for transportation
- Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
- Keeping the workshop organised, safe, and efficient
Hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 – 17:00 42.5 hours per week
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience in a hands‑on, technical, mechanical, or production‑based environment (for example workshop, assembly, IT hardware, or similar) OR demonstrable practical technical ability (such as building or repairing equipment)
- Comfortable using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to follow technical processes accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and right‑first‑time delivery
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage workload effectively
