About the Role
SRG are seeking a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing client based near Leeds, West Yorkshire. Reporting to the Engineering Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production uptime and maintaining a safe working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to build their skillset, with extensive training and development available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and deliver effective PPM activities
- Respond promptly to time‑critical breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, following permit-to-work, compliance and site safety procedures
- Accurately log activities, faults, and maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth shift handovers
- Collaborate closely with Operations teams and external contractors to resolve issues efficiently.
Criteria
- Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, steam systems, filling machinery.

- Development courses including:
- Food Safety
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Boiler Operator Course
- Confined Space Entry
- Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt)
