Site Engineer (Setting Out) needed in High Wycombe.

Location: High WycombeDuration: 6 monthsStart Date: ImmediateRate: Negotiable

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer for a 6-month project. This role will involve a combination of setting out, surveying, and coordination duties across multiple phases of construction.

Responsibilities

  • Setting out for various elements including piling, concrete frame, steel frame, and external works.
  • Checking levels to ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications.
  • Checking plumbness and alignment of structural elements.
  • Reviewing and overlaying drawings in DWG and PDF formats to identify discrepancies and clashes.
  • Coordinating works with subcontractors and other engineers on site.
  • Setting up and maintaining local control stations using retro targets (supplied).
  • Supporting delivery of S278 street works in line with project requirements.
  • Ensuring accuracy, quality control, and adherence to site tolerances.
  • Reporting progress and any issues to site management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Piling works.
    • Concrete frame (RC frame).
    • Steel frame structures.
    • S278 street works.
  • Strong understanding of levels, datum points, and site control.
  • Experience using Total Stations and surveying equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (DWG & PDF).
  • Will most likely need their own Equipment / Instruments to carry out their duties.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (preferred).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Valid CSCS Card (Academically Qualified).
  • Right to work in the UK.
