Overview

A global engineering and infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Plant Production Manager to lead shift-based manufacturing teams within a highly specialised industrial production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong operational leader with experience managing people, driving production performance, and maintaining high Health & Safety and quality standards within manufacturing.

The Role

You will oversee production operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring teams deliver against production schedules while maintaining operational excellence.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with significant responsibility across people, process, and production performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage shift-based production teams
  • Ensure production targets and schedules are achieved
  • Drive Health & Safety and Quality compliance
  • Manage performance, absence, investigations, and disciplinary processes
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Monitor operational KPIs and team performance
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and support teams
  • Coach and develop production staff

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven manufacturing or industrial production management experience
  • Strong people management capability
  • Experience leading shift-based teams
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness
  • Employee relations experience
  • Lean Manufacturing / CI exposure
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Package

  • £60,000 – £68,000 salary
  • 12.5% bonus
  • £6,120 car allowance
  • 37.5-hour working week
  • 4-day shift rotation
  • Long midweek breaks

Shift Pattern

  • Days: Friday to Monday, 07:00 – 17:30
  • Nights: Friday to Monday, 19:00 – 05:30
  • Tuesday to Thursday off
