Role summary

This role will involve supporting a primary school where you will be the liaison between schools and our client, ensuring they are kept informed about the products and services we can provide, and managing customer accounts which will involve maintaining the IT hardware and software across the school sites to help them improve their ICT provision and enable them to deliver effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Passionate interest in IT and a solid technical background.
  • Self‑driven and enthusiastic about offering exceptional customer service.
  • Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and a cheerful disposition.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a previous ICT Technician/2nd line role in the education sector (though not essential).
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and proactively identify opportunities to enhance team services.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve and manage any technical issues that impact the running of the school's functions by providing robust technical solutions.
  • Install or repair computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems that develop in their operations.
  • Respond to a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, primarily in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations (desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns and hardware).
