You will join our Competence Development Team as a trusted expert and ambassador for the brand. For the first time, you will also be part of hosting the Motor Industry Heavy Vehicle Technician Competition 2026 at our Training Facility in Whetstone, helping us showcase the very best technical talent in the industry.
What You Will Do
- Deliver workshop-based technical training aligned to the annual training plan
- Support apprentice, dealer and customer training programmes and deliver training at dealer and customer sites when required
- Design, adapt and continuously improve engaging training materials and resources, including the use of VR and other digital tools
- Evaluating training effectiveness and deploying follow‑up embedment activities to support on‑the‑job application.
- Supporting the Technical Academy Manager by identifying gaps in the training offer and contributing to improvement plans.
- Ensuring health & safety standards and professional conduct are maintained during training.
You will report to the Technical Academy Manager and work closely with other Competence Development Specialists, collaborating with colleagues at headquarters in France to share best practice and align training delivery across the network, including occasional travel to France for Train the Trainer sessions and brand activity support.
Who Are You?
- A strong technical background with HGV experience
- Ideally, an HND or HNC engineering qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience
- Ability to design, adapt and improve training content
- Confident presentation and training skills, both online and face‑to‑face
- Experience with workshop IT systems or similar industry tools
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Adaptable mindset with an interest in new technology and ways of working
It would be advantageous if you hold CertEd, PGCE or A1 Assessor qualifications. If not, you must be willing to work towards these, with full support provided.
