Deputy Headteacher – Stanville Primary School

Stanville Primary School is a happy, hardworking and inclusive school with a strong value-driven ethos. We are a one-form entry school serving pupils from Nursery to Year 6. The school prides itself on its enthusiastic and committed staff, who work collaboratively with parents, governors, and the wider community to provide a well-planned and challenging education within a caring environment.

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic, versatile and highly effective Deputy Headteacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to play a key role in helping shape the future of our school. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Teacher, Governors and wider leadership team to maintain and further develop the school’s high standards of teaching and learning, and its inclusive, caring environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a proven track record of high-quality teaching and learning within the primary age range.
  • Have experience of working at leadership level within a school setting.
  • Have a clear understanding of the National Curriculum relating to core and foundation subjects, SEND and other statutory guidance.
  • Have a clear understanding of Assessment for Learning and high expectations of children’s achievements and behaviour.
  • Have confidence to lead on staff training and professional development.
  • Have an ability to effectively liaise with pupils’ colleagues, parents and outside agencies.

Salary and Benefits:

Grade: Leadership Pay Range L10 – L14, £64,690 p.a. to £71,329 p.a.

Location: Stanville Primary School, Stanville Road, Sheldon, Birmingham, B26 3YN.
