Market Data Manager

My client, a prominent player in the Digital Assets sector, is looking for an experienced Market Data Head/Lead to steer the acquisition and optimization of market data management for diverse assets.

What you’ll do

• Lead the development and execution of a unified market data strategy across various exchanges and markets.
• Design low-latency data architectures to support real-time data processing.
• Manage relationships with key data vendors and oversee commercial agreements.
• Ensure high-quality and normalized datasets across all data sources.
• Optimize the market data budget and identify cost‑saving measures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain robust data delivery systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to market data.

The experience and skills needed

• 10+ years of market data management experience within a trading or financial institution.
• Experience with building low-latency data systems and streaming technologies (C++, Kdb, Python, etc.).
• In-depth understanding of market data vendors and licensing models.
• Strong knowledge of trading workflows and various asset classes.
• Proven ability to negotiate vendor contracts and manage budgets effectively.
