Business Development Manager – Same day Courier

£50,000 – £65,000 DOE + Commission
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to generate and secure new business B2B in London in the same day courier sector. This is a start‑up business, and it is a hands‑on role for someone proactive, ambitious, and confident in developing their own opportunities. You will own the end‑to‑end process.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and approach new prospects across target sectors
- Generate and attend meetings, supported by our internal team
- Build a strong pipeline and convert opportunities into long‑term, profitable accounts
- Understand customer operational requirements and provide a premium tailored Sameday logistics solutions
- Prepare professional proposals, tenders, and presentations
- Negotiate effectively while maintaining strong margins
- Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management using CRM systems
Experience
- Proven success in B2B new business sales in the London area
- Strong background in the Sameday courier market
- A results‑driven mindset with a passion for exceeding targets
- Self‑motivated with the ability to create and develop your own opportunities
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to solution sell rather than compete on price
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
