Hydraulic Engineer / Mobile Hydraulic Crane Technician / Engineer
Birmingham – Up to £50,000 per year + Overtime – Full-Time | Permanent – Company Van Provided
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer / Mobile Crane Technician to join a growing engineering team covering Birmingham and the surrounding Midlands area. This mobile field‑service role involves testing, servicing, maintenance and repair of hydraulic lorry loader cranes and associated equipment. The successful candidate receives a fully stocked company vehicle, ongoing training and opportunity to increase earnings through overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of hydraulic loader cranes
- Fault finding on hydraulic and electrical systems
- LOLER testing and certification
- Hydraulic hose manufacture and replacement
- Breakdown and roadside assistance
- Working both on customer sites and company premises
- Completing reports and maintaining high service standards
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working on hydraulic equipment, cranes, plant or heavy vehicles
- Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence required
- ALLMI or Thorough Examiner certification beneficial but not essential
