About the role

Please note: This role is full time 40hrs per week.

As an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC-One, you will plan and implement activities that delight residents, support fundraising events, encourage social interaction, and involve the care home team—all with a focus on kindness.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities and programmes for residents, tailored to their interests.
  • Assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events.
  • Support residents in developing confidence to socialize and interact with each other.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to embed activities into the care routine.
  • Attend safeguarding training and provide appropriate advice, report concerns and escalation if needed.

Qualifications

  • Background working with vulnerable or older individuals and ideally experience developing activity programmes.
  • Positive energy with a natural ability to relate to residents and colleagues.
  • Strong planning, organisational and IT skills; ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a considerate, kind approach to all interactions.
  • Awareness of safeguarding signs and procedures; able to recognise and report abuse, harm or neglect.
