Paint Sprayer Supervisor

Overview

A manufacturer of automotive components based in Witham is looking to hire a Paint Spraying Supervisor to join their team of paint sprayers and preppers.

The components produced are low-volume, high-value parts, requiring meticulous attention to detail. The working environment is first class.

The role operates from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with a salary up to £49,290 per annum. This is a temporary‑to‑permanent position.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of paint‑spraying experience.
• Experience leading a team.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions from technical data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the paint shop, ensuring all components are prepared, painted, and finished to high standards.
• Lead, train, and support a team of painters, prep technicians, and apprentices.
• Inspect work.
• Enforce health and safety policies.
• Monitor equipment conditions.
• Review completed paintwork for defects such as runs, orange peel, or colour mismatches.
• Schedule jobs and allocate tasks to maximize efficiency.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
