An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Developer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in Grimsby.
This role is ideal for a passionate and commercially aware product development professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys taking products from concept through to launch.
The Role
Reporting into the Development Manager, you will play a key role in the creation and delivery of innovative, high-quality food products for both retail and foodservice customers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing product development projects from concept to launch
- Developing commercially viable and innovative food products in line with customer and market trends
- Working closely with Technical, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams
- Managing customer briefs and presenting products confidently to internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting factory trials, product benchmarking, and shelf-life evaluations
- Ensuring products meet quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the business
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a Senior Product Development or Product Developer role in food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and factory environments
- Experience working with retail and/or foodservice customers
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- A creative mindset combined with strong commercial awareness
- Confidence working cross-functionally and communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Degree qualification in Food Science, Product Development, or a related discipline preferred
