About the role
Project Manager – Medium‑size projects (Marine & Ports).
This position reports to the Local Division Manager.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project execution, defining the project strategy and managing planning, progress, resources, safety, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Be regularly present on project sites during execution to guide on‑site activities, support site teams, and ensure effective project delivery, primarily within the UK.
- Identify, assess, quantify, and actively manage project risks and opportunities to support optimal project outcomes.
- Lead and motivate cross‑functional project teams, ensuring on‑time delivery, cost control, compliance with specifications, and high‑quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, acting as a trusted technical and commercial partner.
- Ensure accurate project documentation, contract compliance, formal project acceptance, contract close‑out, and support the sales phase through bid preparation and risk evaluations.
Work model
Homebase with travel.
Qualifications For The Role
- Higher technical qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technical projects.
- Proven experience acting as Principal Contractor with full responsibility for project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and RAMS processes, including preparation and review of relevant documentation.
- Electrical engineering background or significant electrical project delivery experience (essential).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams in a matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and project controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel as required to support project execution.
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
