Position Overview
The Customer Connections Policy Manager role is central to defining, maintaining, and advocating for NGET's strategic position on customer connection policy. The role coordinates efforts across the ET business, NG Group, and external partners to deliver effective outcomes in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Own, evolve, and communicate NGET's strategic position on key customer connection policy initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across NGET, NG Group, and external partners to drive policy outcomes.
- Identify policy delivery risks, dependencies, and implementation impacts, and advise senior leaders.
- Represent NGET in external policy forums with subject matter experts.
- Coordinate internally with process owners to align policy direction with existing processes.
- Lead creation of written content for consultation responses to drive external discussions.
- Provide people leadership through direct line management and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape, particularly the commercial framework arrangements governing GB connections.
- Expert stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to articulate complex topics to stakeholders of all seniorities.
- Experience with change management processes, project management, risk and issue intervention.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams and stakeholders beyond individual roles or teams.
