Job Summary

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to join the London Neonatal Transfer Service (NTS), based at The Royal London Hospital. This pivotal operational leadership role supports delivery of safe, high‑quality neonatal transport services across London, working closely with clinical leaders, senior managers, and regional partners to ensure efficient service operation, meeting national standards and evolving in response to patient and system needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational, financial and governance oversight of the London NTS.
• Support service development and transformation, managing resources effectively.
• Represent the service within the Trust and across regional and national forums.
• Collaborate closely with clinical leaders, senior managers and regional partners to ensure efficient service, meet national standards and evolve in response to patient and system needs.
• Deliver safe, high‑quality neonatal transport services across London.
• Act as a visible, credible leader, supporting multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced and highly specialised environment.
• Ensure excellent patient care, effective use of resources and continuous service improvement in line with national standards and local priorities.
