Leap29 are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Asset Manager, with around 3-5 years exp to support the management of a global portfolio of renewable energy assets, including Solar, wind, and BESS projects.
The role will primarily focus on working alongside the external asset operators in day-to-day activities, monitoring asset performance, conducting technical analysis, and ensuring high-quality reporting to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Asset Management Support
- Manage external asset operators in overseeing the operational performance of renewable energy assets
- Assist in coordinating with operators, service providers, and other stakeholders
- Track and follow up on key operational issues and action items, as necessary
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor asset performance against budget, forecasts, and technical benchmarks
- Identify underperformance trends and escalate issues where necessary
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as availability, capacity factor, yield, and downtime
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across monitoring and reporting systems
Technical Analysis
- Conduct detailed technical performance analysis of solar, wind, and/or BESS assets
- Support the evaluation of operational improvements and optimisation opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, technical, legal teams) when required
Reporting
- Prepare regular asset performance reports (monthly, quarterly, ad hoc)
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy asset management, operations, or a related field
- Experience with solar PV required. Experience with wind and/or battery energy storage is a plus
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy) or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI and Python are a plus)

Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and performance monitoring platforms (e.g. PowerFactors)
- Experience working with external asset managers or O&M providers
- Financial awareness (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)
