Location: Remote – but need to be in a commutable distance to Wales

Contract: 3 months, 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday

Rate: £24.25 p/hr – annual equivalent of £46,662


Role Overview

We are working with a prestigious public sector organisation based in Wales to recruit an experienced Data Analyst to support a portfolio of digital, data and technology (DDaT) projects.

You will play a key role in supporting the preparation, management and analysis of data, helping to deliver insights that inform decision-making and support wider organisational priorities.


Key Role Responsibilities


  • Guide and support colleagues in data preparation, analysis and use of appropriate analytical techniques
  • Develop and apply data management standards, ensuring data quality, governance and compliance
  • Present complex data in clear, accessible formats, including effective data visualisations
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations and deliver actionable insights
  • Support development of data tools, processes and technologies, including data mapping and system improvements
  • Contribute to data projects, including problem definition, analysis and ongoing delivery support


About You

You will have strong experience as a Data Analyst, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets and deliver clear, meaningful insights. You’ll bring:

  • Advanced analytical and data handling skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience working with tools such as Python, R, SQL and Microsoft technologies (Azure, Power BI, Excel, Power Platform)
  • Knowledge of data models, data quality, governance and data lifecycle management
  • Experience working in cloud-based or data-rich environments
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
