Milk Education is working with a range of supportive and inclusive schools across Leeds who are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
We have opportunities available for flexible starts, immediate roles, and September placements primary settings.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils engage and access learning
- Assist in developing pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural skills
- Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Use tailored strategies to support behaviour, communication, and learning needs
- Promote inclusion and positive engagement across the classroom
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
Who We’re Looking For
You will be a great fit if you have:
- Experience working with children or young people (SEN, school, care, youth work, coaching etc.)
- A patient, calm, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
- A degree or TA qualification is desirable but not essential
