An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Technologist to join a well-established food manufacturer based in Greater Manchester- North of the City. This sits within a close-knit, collaborative technical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing product trials, supporting production, and mentoring junior technologists, ensuring efficient delivery of products to major UK retailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production trials across a range of products
- Work hands-on in the factory on a daily basis
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving in production
- Mentor and develop junior technologists within the team
- Ensure smooth progression of products through the NPD gate process
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer timelines and expectations
- Maintain strong communication with production and technical teams
Key Requirements
Experience & Background
- Experience in food manufacturing (essential)
- Strong understanding of NPD processes and product launches
- Experience working in a factory-based, fast-paced environment
Skills & Attributes
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive
- Strong personality with the ability to influence and lead
- Team-oriented with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
Working Hours
- Standard:
- Monday–Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
- Flexibility required:
- Time off in lieu / flexibility offered where possible
