About the Role


As an Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer within PCM’s advanced engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the electronic intelligence behind our products - developing the hardware, firmware, and embedded technologies that transform precision load cells into fully integrated smart measurement systems that cater to Industry 4.0.


Operating at the intersection of electronics, instrumentation, and product innovation, you will take ownership of projects spanning PCB design, embedded firmware development, communication protocols, and system integration. From developing miniature amplifier circuits, through to supporting the release of wirelessly connected monitoring solutions, your work will directly shape the next generation of PCM technology.


This is a highly practical and innovation-driven engineering role, combining hands-on development work with strong technical problem solving and product ownership. Working closely with mechanical engineers, production, calibration, suppliers and customers, you will support the transition from concept through to prototyping, validation, manufacture, and deployment into demanding real-world applications.


Beyond day-to-day engineering delivery, you will play an important role in advancing PCM’s wider technology strategy - helping to improve product capability, connectivity, build efficiency and footprint as the business looks to Industry 4.0 offerings. Accuracy, creativity, and a strong systems-level mindset will be essential, as your work will electronic and embedded technologies.
