The Role
You will take responsibility for teaching English lessons across the school, delivering high-quality cover and ensuring pupils remain engaged, supported, and progressing in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Maintain strong classroom management and positive learning routines
- Support pupils’ academic progress and confidence in English
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider department
- Follow school policies around behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability from 12th June
