(Junior) Electrical Design Engineer – Solar + BESS | London (3x p/w)

The Role
You’ll join a growing technical team at a Major European EPC supporting the design and delivery of large‑scale solar and energy‑storage projects. Working alongside senior engineers, you’ll help produce electrical designs, specifications, and technical documentation across LV/MV systems, protection, SCADA, and grid‑connected assets.
This is a Junior Level role, so support with the Project Team will be on hand, alongside an active program to build up your skills in the Electrical Engineering space.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with LV, MV and HV electrical design
- Produce CAD drawings, schematics, and design deliverables
- Support protection, earthing, and SCADA specifications
- Contribute to tenders, proposals, and technical reports
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards and internal ISO processes
- Support FAT/SAT activities and site engineering when required
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or close
- Initial experience in power systems, renewables, or electrical design
- Familiarity with AutoCAD; exposure to PVSyst, DigSilent, or similar tools is a bonus
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
- Full UK driving licence & ability to work in London 3x per week.
