Project Manager – Highways

Location: Milton Keynes

Ringway Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team in Milton Keynes, delivering medium to large-scale highways schemes across the contract.

This is a key operational role, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full ownership of project delivery, leading operational teams and supply chain partners to achieve programme, financial and safety targets.

You will be responsible for managing project plans, monitoring performance, and ensuring all works are delivered in line with business objectives, contractual requirements and company standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and promote a safe working environment across all operations
  • Lead the delivery of highways schemes in line with programme and budget targets
  • Monitor financial performance, including cost and value reporting and KPI delivery
  • Prepare and manage project plans, programmes and resource allocation
  • Ensure work applications and documentation are submitted within agreed timescales
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Provide visible leadership across site operations, driving performance and standards
  • Identify training and development needs within teams and support continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company systems, processes and quality standards

  • Proven experience in a Project Manager role within highways or civil engineering
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery, planning and programme management
  • Experience managing budgets and analysing cost and value reports
  • Demonstrable experience leading operational teams and subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, operational environment
