Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Building ServicesSenior Mechanical Engineer / Principal Mechanical Engineer - BristolSenior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services A leading Building Services and Low Carbon Engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Bristol office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to take a leading role on technically challenging and sustainable Building Services projects across multiple sectors throughout the UK. The consultancy is widely recognised for delivering award-winning low carbon buildings, Passivhaus developments, complex refurbishments and environmentally responsible engineering solutions in collaboration with nationally recognised architects and design teams.Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer - The Role The successful Senior Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer will lead the mechanical design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion whilst supporting the development of junior engineers and client relationships. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the design of mechanical Building Services systems for a range of projects
• Producing and reviewing detailed design calculations, specifications and reports
• Managing project delivery and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
• Developing low carbon and sustainable engineering solutions
• Liaising directly with clients, architects and contractors
• Overseeing technical design quality and project performance
• Supporting projects through construction, commissioning and handover
• Mentoring and supervising junior and intermediate engineers
• Supporting business development and client growth opportunities

 - Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Significant experience within Building Services consultancy
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical Building Services systems
• Experience delivering sustainable and low energy projects
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD and Building Services design software
• Experience with IES, PHPP or SAP advantageous
• Strong leadership and client-facing skills
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership desirable
• Passion for sustainable engineering and technical excellence
