Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager (Melting) to lead a Melting department within a well-established manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for departmental performance across safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost, offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team, driving performance, engagement, and succession planning
- Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE standards
- Deliver improvements in productivity, efficiency, and operational performance
- Manage quality standards, audits, and continuous improvement activities
- Collaborate with planning and supply chain teams to maintain production flow
- Control departmental budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
About You
- Proven experience in manufacturing or process-led environments
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Commercially aware with experience managing costs and performance
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies (desirable)
- Experience xwzovoh within a melting, forging, casting or heat treatment (hot working) background would be highly advantageous, although other Manufacturing industries may be considered.
