Oritain is the global leader in product origin verification, with locations in Auckland, Dunedin, London, Singapore and Washington D.C. We sit at the intersection of forensic science and supply chain technology, harnessing science and data to verify the genuine origin of materials across the world’s most critical commodities. Our mission is to protect people and the planet by ensuring transparency and integrity in global supply chains. As demand for supply chain transparency continues to grow, so does our ambition and we are now seeking a Head of Product to lead our product function through an exciting period of transformation.
About The Role
The Head of Product is a senior leadership role accountable for turning product strategy into a coherent portfolio, operating model, and measurable business outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer, this role sits at the intersection of science, digital, data, design, and commercial teams.
This is a pivotal moment for Oritain. We are evolving from a testing service into a data, platform and ecosystem business and the Head of Product will lead that shift. You will own the product portfolio end-to-end, build a product‑led operating model, and ensure our products create both commercial value and meaningful impact in areas such as supply chain transparency, responsible sourcing, and environmental risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and lead the product strategy that supports Oritain’s evolution to a platform and ecosystem business, owning priorities, trade‑offs, sequencing and investment decisions across the full portfolio.
- Build and mature a product‑led operating model, with strong intake, prioritisation, discovery and roadmap governance, and lead, coach and develop a team of Product Managers, raising the standard of product craft across discovery, delivery and outcome ownership.
- Work closely with engineering, design, science, operations and commercial teams to create alignment, resolve dependencies and keep delivery focused on the right outcomes.
- Own and communicate the roadmap clearly, establish portfolio KPIs covering adoption, retention, expansion and customer value, and build product ways of working that support stronger decision quality and cross‑functional execution.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading product in a B2B SaaS, platform, data, workflow or regulated environment, with a track record of building product operating models and not just managing roadmaps or backlogs.
- Strong portfolio judgement and the confidence to make trade‑offs across competing priorities, and experience developing Product Managers and raising the standard of product craft.
- Comfortable working across technical, operational and commercial domains, with enough technical fluency to work credibly with engineering on architecture, constraints and sequencing.
- Excellent communication at senior leadership level, a strong bias for evidence and customer understanding, and genuine insight into how AI can improve product practice, decision quality and operating effectiveness.
- Experience in traceability, supply chain transparency, compliance, sustainability or responsible sourcing would be an advantage, as would experience in businesses moving from service‑led delivery to platform‑led scale.

- Hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week in our Farringdon office)
- 35 days paid leave, inclusive of public holidays
