Join as the first dedicated engineering hire for a venture-backed startup disrupting the £19B UK conveyancing market. You will harden a pre‑launch platform, architect a complex state machine and AI agent pipelines. What You Will Do
- Design and scale the core architecture including the state machine, workflow engine and secure API layer for thousands of concurrent transactions.

- Lead security and compliance engineering, implementing robust encryption and audit logging necessary for a regulated, AI‑native law firm.
The ideal candidate
- 5+ years of professional experience with a strong backend focus in Python, TypeScript and React/Next.js.
- Proven track record of building secure, scalable systems in regulated or sensitive environments such as fintech, legaltech or healthtech.
- Hands‑on experience with AI agent orchestration frameworks and the ability to transition from individual contributor to engineering leader as the team grows.
