This highly technical team operates at the intersection of financial markets, regulation, and complex risk‑transfer products, advising major global financial institutions, trading desks, and structured finance platforms on sophisticated cross‑border transactions.

The role is heavily documentation and transaction‑focused, with exposure to a broad range of derivatives and structured products work.

Key areas of work include:

  • Collateral and margin arrangements
  • Close‑out netting enforceability
  • Regulatory capital treatment and cross‑border derivatives regulation
  • Interest rate swaps, FX derivatives, commodity hedging, total return swaps, and credit derivatives
  • Structured notes and Shari’a‑compliant hedging structures
  • Embedding derivatives into structured note programmes
  • Hedging arrangements linked to SPVs and issuances
  • Coordination with trustees, arrangers, and listing agents
  • Advising on securities, collateral, and insolvency frameworks

Candidate requirements:

  • NQ–8 years’ PQE gained at a leading UK or international law firm
  • Experience in structured finance and derivatives matters
  • Strong technical drafting and transactional skills
  • Excellent academic background and commercial awareness
  • Ability to work on complex cross‑border matters within a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to client work
