Job Description

The Role

  • The Group Financial Accountant will be part of the Group Finance team and responsible for supporting the Group Reporting Manager in preparing high quality external reporting of the Group’s financial performance, position and cashflow.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Monthly preparation of the Group’s consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow for inclusion in the reporting to the Group’s owners and lenders
  • Preparing analysis on all material movements in the balance sheet, cashflow and P&L below EBITDA.
  • Preparing high quality external audit schedules and responses to auditor questions
  • Preparing an initial draft of the Group and UK subsidiary financial statements
  • Posting all consolidation, intercompany, transfer pricing and P&L items below EBITDA journals each month

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Experience

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Preparing consolidated accounts under IFRS
  • Preparing UK subsidiary accounts under UK GAAP
  • Qualified accountant
  • Working in complex external audit processes
  • NetSuite ERP experience
  • Caseware accounts preparation software experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build relationships with other team members and departments
  • Able to resolve queries in a timely manner
  • The ability to work to targets, achieving objectives and meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
