A rapidly expanding, boutique hedge fund, are looking to make a newly created senior operations hire.
Operations at the firm is currently X2 analysts plus the COO – the COO wears many hats and needs to relinquish all operations responsibilities. The goal is to hire a senior operations person who, after a period of bedding in, will progress into the Head of Operations seat.
The COO is keen for the new hire, as a fresh pair of eyes, to review existing operational frameworks and technology, project managing new initiatives that he/she will recommend implementing. Process improvement / efficiency projects could be particularly prevalent.
Whilst the role is high level and will also include taking away some responsibilities from the COO, it is also very much hands-on alongside the two analysts. BAU tasks will include corporate actions, trade settlements, cash recs, treasury / FX hedging tasks, NAV oversight etc.
Candidates should have 5-10yrs buy-side operations experience. A track record running successful projects is preferred. Any advanced tech skills would be beneficial.
The role is budgeted to pay an £80-100k base salary (potential flex). The firm pay non-investment staff 50-100% bonuses (with strong individual and fund performance, this hire should be at the top end of that range).
