Treasurer Opportunity at Merton Connected

Do you have finance skills that could supportorganisations in our community to thrive as they grow? Then you could be theperson that we are looking for to join us as our new Treasurer, here at MertonConnected!

This is an opportunity to guide our next development stage byjoining our Board of Trustees at what is a pivotal point in our journey. Drivenby our vision of a connected, supported, and empowered borough, a new Treasureris crucial to our mission.

As well as financial expertise; if you are also passionateabout helping residents and the voluntary sector in our borough to findmeaningful opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.

Who are Merton Connected?

MertonConnected strengthens the voluntary, community and faith sector andsupports residents across the borough. We provide advice, training anddevelopment that help organisations build strong governance, diversify incomeand plan for long-term sustainability.

We promote volunteering across Merton, helping residentsfind meaningful opportunities to contribute while supporting organisations torecruit and develop volunteers.

Becoming a trustee is a rewarding way to contribute to thevoluntary sector and support communities locally.

You’ll be joining a charity that is committed tostrengthening partnerships to encourage Merton to flourish. You’ll workcollaboratively with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team, offeringsupport, oversight and constructive challenge where needed.

As Treasurer; you will chair the Finance Committee, reportingback to the Board on financial health and risk. The Board will look to you for supportin understanding the organisation’s financial position, resilience and futureoutlook.

Trusteeship offers the opportunity to use your professionalskills in a different context, contribute to an organisation with a clearsocial purpose and gain valuable strategic experience.
