Role Overview
This role is based at York Teaching Hospital, providing reception and administrative services for Oncology/Haematology and Breast Services within the Magnolia Centre. The successful candidate will join a small team and be responsible for patient contact at a busy frontline reception as well as telephone support.
Responsibilities
- Attend to patient contact at a busy frontline reception and over the telephone.
- Perform associated clerical tasks.
- Remain calm under pressure and multi‑task while delivering impeccable customer service.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work under pressure, be self‑motivated and a team player.
- Take pride in work and maintain a professional, proactive and courteous approach.
Qualifications
- GCSE Level C or above in Maths and English or equivalent qualification.
- Previous receptionist experience.
- Keyboard skills are an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
