Position Overview
Sector Manager (Benefits Service). Permanent. Grade D – £45,091 – £53,460 per annum. Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review. Working 36.50 hours per week. Hybrid working, onsite attendance subject to service needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the high‑profile Supported Accommodation Housing Benefit Team.
- Drive performance and improve outcomes.
- Lead and motivate an operational team.
- Review policy and introduce new legislation into robust, efficient processes.
- Work in partnership with colleagues and partners to improve the critical public service.
- Contribute to the Benefits leadership team and overall service running.
- Deliver results in a fast‑paced, complex environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housing and legislative knowledge.
- Strong operational leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Demonstrated capability to engage with partners and implement policy changes.
- Passion for delivering results in a complex environment.
