Position Overview

As a senior QA engineer for the ETF Platform, you will work as a senior team member with high technical skills to design, create, maintain and execute initiatives through the SDLC for one of State Street’s growing services. Working closely with a multidisciplinary global team, you will leverage your expertise in software testing to implement cross‑functional test frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back‑end integration and database levels.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners to define and drive the overall quality strategy.
  • Expand coverage with manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
  • Create comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents.
  • Execute software testing to include functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
  • Record and maintain automated test script libraries for functional regression testing for assigned applications.
  • Document software defects in an issue tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members.
  • Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development life cycle process.
  • Manage scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; identify and report risks to project schedule and product quality and propose new methods to control and/or mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in software testing in a process-driven technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.
  • Proven experience in identifying high business value quality initiatives, developing detailed plans for execution and producing successful measurable results.
  • Proficiency in modern web and application technologies and related frameworks to effectively understand and enable thorough testing across diverse platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Git.
  • Demonstrated experience in CICD tools with ability to effectively integrate tests into the organization to help gather quality metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a financial industry or with financial business solutions.
  • Expert ability to translate ETF business requirements into technical testing solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automation, deployment and monitoring.
