Key Responsibilities
- Hold a clinical caseload of CYP with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Provide thorough assessments, risk assessments, care plans and reviews.
- Supervise Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioners and Senior Mental Health Practitioners.
- Deliver evidence‑based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions.
- Work in partnership with schools, CYP, families and partner agencies to develop intervention plans and agreed outcomes.
- Support the Locality Clinical Lead with formulation and treatment plans.
- Participate in the delivery of the Whole School Approach and support community‑wide mental health promotion.
- Contribute to service development, research and development of MHSTs nationally.
Qualifications and Experience
- UK Professional Registration (e.g. HCPC, NMC, BABCP).
- Graduate qualified health‑care professional with formal CBT training, such as Qualified CBT Therapist, IAPT or CYP‑IAPT.
- Substantial CAMHS clinical experience with CPD in evidence‑based psychological interventions.
- Experience in supervising junior staff and trainee EMHPs.
- Good understanding of whole‑school approaches and partnership working with schools.
- Enrolled on the Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Services supervisor course.
- Possesses a vehicle and the ability to travel efficiently across the county.
