Propel is partnering with one of the UK's most recognisable consumer brands to find a Senior CRM Manager for a 12-month maternity cover – and honestly, it's a brilliant role with an even better team behind it!
The Company
- A major consumer brand with a loyal customer base and a CRM programme operating at genuine scale
- Their marketing team is fast‑paced, collaborative, and commercially driven – these are people who care about doing things properly
- The CRM function is in great shape – stable team, strong culture, real investment in the programme – and they're looking for the right senior leader to carry it forward
The Opportunity
- Own the end‑to‑end CRM strategy and delivery calendar across email, SMS and direct mail
- Lead segmentation, targeting and personalisation for a large, complex customer database
- Drive ROI‑accountable promotions and BAU performance reporting for senior stakeholders
- Manage and develop a team of six, including a CRM Manager, Senior Exec and Executives
- Act as the primary CRM partner to Trading, Merchandising and Ecommerce
Requirements
- Senior CRM experience from a fast‑paced consumer environment – retail, gambling, FMCG, subscription or similar
- Hands‑on with ESP platforms (ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Strong data and segmentation skills – you need to be comfortable in the detail
- A warm, people‑first leadership style – culture fit is everything here
- The ability to be both hands‑on with BAU and strategic when the moment calls for it
This won't be suitable if…
- You have never managed a team before – we need an experienced manager to step in and fill the shoes of the current manager, making the transition seamless
- You haven't done CRM before in a consumer‑facing setting – this team does lots for customer communications, and they need someone who gets that
- You want to be fully remote – this team values their in‑person days together to support each other so office presence really is required.
Practical Info
- Location: West Midlands (south of Birmingham, most easily accessed by car)
- Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home
- Salary: up to £65,000 + car allowance
- Contract: 12‑month FTC
This is a role for someone who genuinely loves CRM – the detail, the data, the team, and the craft of getting the right message to the right person at the right time. If that sounds like you, drop me a message or send your CV across and let's chat
