Job Overview
Integrated Care Coordination Hub at Abel Smith House, Stevenage is seeking a flexible full‑time administrator to support clinical teams across East & North Hertfordshire. The role involves answering patient calls, entering referral data into the Patient Administration System and directing referrals to the appropriate clinical teams.
Working Hours & Conditions
Full time: 8:00 am–4:00 pm and 12:00 pm–8:00 pm in alternate weeks, with two weekend days a month. Unsocial hours from midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday are paid in addition to the basic salary. A hybrid model of working, including at least one day from home if requested, is available after the initial training period.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient and professional telephone enquiries.
- Enter and process written referrals into the clinical system.
- Direct each referral to the appropriate clinical team.
- Ensure accurate and relevant information is recorded in the database.
- Provide high‑level customer service and support to patients and relatives.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
- Collaborate closely with hub triage teams and local service teams.
- Escalate issues and share information as required.
- Identify innovative ways of working within the team.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, IT and customer‑service skills.
- Experience undertaking a range of administrative tasks.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including unsocial hours.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to handle a high volume of telephone and computer work.
