Working pattern: Hybrid, typically 3 days onsite per week

We are currently partnering with an organisation that is hiring an Infrastructure and Security Manager to lead a key cloud and infrastructure transformation programme.

This is a senior position with responsibility for platforms, infrastructure, security oversight, and team leadership. The organisation is investing heavily in digital transformation and is looking for someone who can help shape a more modern, Azure-led environment, bring greater control to a complex estate, and lead a small team through the next phase of growth.

Why this role?

  • Opportunity to lead a major Azure and platform transformation
  • Senior, high-impact role with visibility across technology leadership
  • Broad remit across cloud, infrastructure, security oversight, and people management
  • Chance to define the future-state environment, not just maintain the current one
  • Join an organisation combining the pace of change of a modern business with the purpose and stability of a values-led environment

The role

This role will take ownership of a platform environment that has evolved over time across multiple teams, systems, and providers. The priority is to create a clearer, more joined-up approach to infrastructure and platforms, while improving resilience, security, and long-term scalability.

You will assess the current environment, define what good looks like, and help lead the transition towards a more consistent, Azure-based estate. You will also manage a small internal team and work closely with senior stakeholders on the roadmap, priorities, and investment.

Core requirements

  • Strong cyber security knowledge
  • Strong real-world Azure experience in a production environment
  • Ability to define what a well-structured Azure environment should look like for a specific organisation
  • Broad knowledge across cloud services, networking, connectivity, compute, storage, backups, and security tooling
  • Experience assessing a current environment, defining a future state, and delivering the strategy to support the transition
  • Experience leading or line-managing technical teams
  • Exposure to Power Platform
  • Experience working with a blend of internal teams and managed service providers
  • Experience in a complex, operationally critical environment
