Job Overview

Do you want to help the energy transition industry by guiding the public and private sector in delivering technologies and systems to meet net zero targets? We need a professional to join our Power Systems department as a Senior Cable Specialist and contribute to innovative engineering design projects.

Your Role

As a Senior Cable Specialist you will join a team of more than 50 specialists focused on offshore wind, power‑to‑X, carbon capture and other energy transition projects. You will cover all phases of project delivery including concept and feasibility studies, detailed engineering, EPC and follow‑on engineering on international projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents and prepare draft proposals covering technical, commercial items and resource planning.
  • Review project documents and prepare technical reports.
  • Participate in internal meetings and client meetings.
  • Prepare design basis in cooperation with various departments.
  • Perform submarine and onshore cable rating and thermal calculations.
  • Lead a cable project (submarine cable or onshore cable scope).
  • Assess interface with transition joint bays, onshore and offshore substations, and civil works.
  • Inspect cable manufacturing and installation sites, including travel abroad if required.

Qualifications

  • Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • +5 years of experience in submarine or onshore (underground) HV cable system design (66 kV up to 400 kV).
  • Experience with Cymcap or other cable rating software.
  • Experience working with cable‑related international and local standards.
  • Fluent in English; local languages are a plus.
  • Experience in cable installation and civil works is a plus.
