An Associate Analyst in the Threat Intelligence Unit (TIU) of Sibylline’s Global Intelligence Team (GIT) provides incident & threat monitoring, updates, briefs, research, and intelligence analysis for clients.

In this multifaceted role you will assume a range of critical responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the client’s personnel, operations, and assets. This includes responsibility for both incident data monitoring, tailored social media monitoring solutions, and intelligence analysis/reporting. You will also be responsible for disseminating mass communications concerning global events that hold the potential to impact the well‑being of the clients’ personnel, valuable assets, and business operations.

As an Associate Analyst, you will maintain a constant awareness of geopolitical and national issues that may impact the client’s employees, locations, or reputation. You will conduct thorough horizon scanning to produce comprehensive reports highlighting emerging trends and incidents in regions where the company operates. This is delivered as comprehensive reporting and reviews for Sibylline’s clients.

Full‑time role in the UK; primarily working night shifts with flexibility for weekends, public holidays, and occasional on‑call for 24/7 coverage.

Occasional travel to the office will also be required for training, events, or administrative purposes.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

  • Maintainsituational awareness,collect, and analyseinformation to ensure the safety and security of our clients’ people, buildings, and operations
  • Detectand assessthreats and incidents, and determinetheir impact on our clients
  • Using open-source intelligence (OSINT) sources and internal databases toconduct social media, deep and dark web monitoring, and produce tactical intelligence
  • Writeand distributenotifications and daily and weekly products.
  • Triage incidents and threats quickly and effectively
  • Conduct ad-hoc client briefings on unfolding events
  • Conduct research and maintainGlobal Intelligence Team core products, including city security briefs, event risk assessments, and Sibylline’s ASTRA platform
  • Collect and maintain data sets as directed by the Lead Data, Insights, and Capability analyst.
  • Display creative thinking and consulting skills to deliver a continually improving service for our clients
  • Facilitate the dissemination of information to mobilise the necessary resources to ensure that regional staff can mitigate immediate risks and incidents
  • Support our clients directly by providing short-term “Surge” capacity as required.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the Head of Global Analysis
  • Engage and collaborate with other Sibylline teams globally to remain up to date with best practices, resources, and industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Impeccable communication skills, with the ability to take urgent calls from concerned stakeholders with patience and professionalism
  • Ability to monitor the news, social media, and other information feeds and quickly determine the impact of security events and crises on business operations
  • Excellent research skills, with the ability to rapidly digest, evaluate, and “sift” large quantities of information from a range of sources
  • Ability to interpret, organise, and visualise data
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to provide thoughtful insight into complex situations
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High level of competency with MS Office tools.
  • Experience with mass notification systems, social media monitoring software (e.g. Dataminr, Navigator), and cross-functional experience within a global security team (e.g. threat monitoring, travel security).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, International Relations, War Studies, Criminal Justice, or a relevant field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated interest in security policies, best practices, and procedures, with a customer service mindset
  • Lived, academic, or professional insight into at least one major region (Americas, Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe & Eurasia)
  • Requires the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate. Schedule may include rotating shifts and on‑call responsibilities to ensure continuous coverage.
