Infrastructure Engineer (Telephony) Ref. 3734

Location: Cheltenham

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain classified telephony platforms, including call gateways, enterprise media and transcription services.
• Ensure services remain resilient, compliant and ready for any call.
• Engineer improvements, resolve complex cross‑domain issues and collaborate with partners and suppliers.
• Participate in on‑call rota and occasional overseas travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in telephony infrastructure and support of voice and unified communications systems.
• Solid understanding of networking and proficiency with Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of Cisco technologies highly desirable.
• Good administration skills and proactive mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence and work collaboratively.
• Must be a British citizen or hold dual British nationality and possess Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• Must live within commutable distance of Cheltenham.

Training and Development

• Immediate induction and defined training pathway with a mentor.
• Three skill gateways to progress, aiming for Infrastructure Engineering Level 2 within 12 months.
• Access to internal development pathway and external industry accreditation, including Cisco qualifications.
