As Data Analyst, you'll be a key player in our centralised ICT data support team. This is more than just a support role—it’s part of the future of SCAPE.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with stakeholders to turn business questions into clear, actionable insights.
  • Use SQL to extract, shape and analyse data that supports confident decision‑making.
  • Raise data quality by validating datasets, reviewing new sources and improving collection methods.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, including modelling, Power Query transformations and DAX measures.
  • Use practical analytics and basic statistics and communicate assumptions and uncertainty clearly.
  • Partner with colleagues to deliver and continuously improve dashboards and reports that users trust.
  • Help keep reporting reliable: shape ETL/ELT requirements and monitor refreshes, accuracy and reconcilations.

What You'll Bring

  • A solid grounding in data modelling (e.g., fact/dimension tables), data quality, and how operational data flows into reporting and analytics.
  • A good understanding of core statistical concepts (e.g., sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, basic regression) and how to interpret results appropriately.
  • Confidence explaining assumptions, limitations and uncertainty in plain English to non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong skills in advanced Excel and SQL, plus experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI (Python and/or R is a bonus).
  • Hands‑on Power BI capability, including data modelling and transformation DAX and Power Query, and turning requirements into clear, usable reporting.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT—able to define extract requirements and validate datasets for accurate reporting.

What We Offer

Please note this role is office based (Nottingham City Centre), with some flexible working from home.

  • Attractive salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and additional birthday leave.

  • Local Government Pension Scheme including generous employer 17% contributions.
  • Life assurance of 3x salary.
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay.
