Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Test Manager to lead quality assurance and testing delivery across a large-scale Finance and Actuarial transformation programme. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA and Quality Engineering professional with extensive experience managing complex strategic transformation initiatives within the insurance or financial services sector.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in programme-level test management, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and proven delivery experience across IFRS 17 or similar regulatory transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the overall test strategy, planning, and scheduling across multiple programme releases.
- Manage end-to-end testing activities including:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Data Validation
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Regression Testing
- Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT)
- Oversee testing across policy administration, claims platforms, and associated financial systems.
- Collaborate closely with Actuarial, Finance, Data Governance, and IT teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned to business and regulatory objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across IFRS 17, Regulatory Reporting, Actuarial, and Statutory Reporting functions.
- Ensure adherence to non-functional requirements including:
- Performance testing
- Service assurance standards
- Support go-live readiness activities including cutover planning and post-implementation validation to ensure operational stability.
Essential Qualifications
- Previously operated as a Senior Programme Test Manager or possess 20+ years’ experience in QA / Quality Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Delivery Test Management across complex transformation programmes.
- Proven track record delivering Finance & Actuarial transformation programmes, including IFRS 17 or similar regulatory initiatives.
- UK-based candidate.
- Master’s degree in a STEM-related subject.
Skills & Experience
- Strong programme-level test management experience within finance, actuarial, or regulatory transformation environments.
- Deep understanding of:
- Claims processing
- Actuarial reserving
- Hands-on experience with:
- Enterprise reporting tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across both business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks, change management practices, and release planning in regulated environments.
Preferred Background
- Insurance or Financial Services industry experience.
- Strong technical testing background combined with strategic programme leadership capabilities.
- Experience operating within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
