The Growth Company’s Employment team is seeking a Group Facilitator to design, deliver, and evaluate dynamic group sessions that help individuals build their personal, social, and employability skills.

In this role, the Group Facilitator will be working in the community to support a wide range of participants, including people who have health issues, are unemployed, experiencing barriers to work, or looking to enhance their personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver group workshops covering confidence building, job readiness, communication, teamwork, and related topics.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all participants.
  • Tailor session content and delivery methods to suit varied learning styles and abilities.
  • Track participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth.
  • Work collaboratively with Work & Health coaches to provide joined‑up support.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of attendance, feedback, engagement, and participant outcomes.
  • Contribute to programme evaluation and ongoing improvements to enhance overall impact.

About You

  • Strong understanding of participant needs and the challenges they may face.
  • Solid knowledge of the local labour market, including pathways into work and available education, training, and specialist support services.
  • Good awareness of health and safety requirements, with the ability to uphold safeguarding and ensure participant wellbeing.
  • Awareness of health issues, additional learning needs, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ESOL, and other support requirements.
  • Warm, approachable delivery style that helps build trust, rapport, and positive engagement.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire participants to progress and achieve their goals.
  • Flexible approach to working across different locations and delivering a variety of courses.

Skills Required

  • Teaching or training qualifications, or equivalent practical experience in delivering learning.
  • Proven experience facilitating groups, teaching, or delivering training sessions.
  • Ability to engage and support individuals from challenging or complex backgrounds.
  • Skilled in delivering a broad range of training courses that support participant progression.
  • Experience ensuring compliance and quality assurance within funded programmes.
  • Ability to assess and identify individual learning needs within a group setting.
  • Strong digital literacy to enhance and support effective group delivery.

We are currently unable to provide sponsorship for work permits or visas. Therefore, we can only consider candidates who already have the legal right to work in the UK.
