Senior Analyst – Chemistry (GCMS / LCMS) in Shrewsbury)

Our client, a specialist scientific consultancy, is looking for a Senior Analyst to join their team due to their continued expansion. This will be a hands‑on role within the labs, using mass spectrometry techniques to perform specialist analysis work as directed by their customers.

Responsibilities

• Using mass spectrometry techniques to perform specialist analysis work as directed by customers.
• Perform extractables and leachables based testing to fulfill customer requirements.
• Work in a regulated / structured lab environment.

Qualifications

• Strong scientific academic background (degree or A‑level) with 2 years+ in a similar lab‑based role.
• Higher‑level academic background (Masters with 18 months lab experience or fresh PhD in a relevant analytical field).
• Understanding of chromatographic analysis techniques: GC/MS and/or LC/MS (key to the role). Experience with FTIR, TGA, UV‑VIS or GPC also useful.
• Experience working in a regulated / structured lab environment: GMP, GLP, ISO17025.
