HSBC seeks an experienced professional to join our team as a Relationship Manager in SME Business Banking. The role focuses on delivering dedicated customer service across a portfolio of clients while managing sales, service, risk, and operational delivery.
In This Role
- Conduct face‑to‑face meetings with SME clients, managing a portfolio of 50–65 clients.
- Manage portfolio values of approximately £2.5 million with SME clients having a turnover of £2–15 million.
- Drive revenue growth through a needs‑based approach, engaging clients and increasing new business.
- Identify opportunities to expand portfolios and broaden client relationships by leveraging HSBC’s network.
- Build a strong understanding of each client’s business and industry to enrich conversations and deliver fair outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews.
Requirements
- Experience in Business or Corporate Banking, or the broader financial services sector.
- Proven ability to identify and meet customer needs.
- Experience leading and delivering excellent customer service while innovating improvements.
- Skill in building effective networks across business areas, fostering relationships based on mutual trust.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven compliance with regulatory processes.
Location: Hybrid role based in the West Midlands region covering Solihull, Coventry & Warwickshire. A full UK driving licence is required; travel is expected.
