We are Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This role is suitable for RMN/RNLD/RGN registered nurses, with welcoming plans for students due to qualify in coming months.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and may be required to teach other nursing and non-nursing staff.

  • Provide designated named nurse responsibility for a number of patients.
  • Provide leadership, supervision and support to junior staff (qualified and unqualified) in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader and Unit Manager, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources to deliver high-quality care to service users.

Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

  • Professional Qualification and registration – NMC
  • Professional Qualification – RMN/RNLD
  • Experience of working with people with complex and challenging needs

Skills and Aptitude

  • Up-to-date clinical skills in providing mental health care to patients in hospital
  • Ability to identify ongoing development needs and maintain a professional portfolio demonstrating Continuing Professional Development
