About the role

We are looking for band 5 staff nurses to join our Phoenix Ward, a Children and Young People General Adolescent Unit providing inpatient care to young people aged 13‑18 years. The unit is CQC rated OUTSTANDING in caring, and the role requires a positive "can do" attitude and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients on the ward.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Support patients in therapeutic activities and medication administration.
• Accurately record patient observations and progress.
• Act as primary nurse for assigned patients and support the Nurse in Charge.

Qualifications & experience

• Registered Nurse qualified by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Experience in psychiatric or adolescent nursing is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake a preceptorship and further professional development.
