Responsibilities
- Day to day running of the care home
- Supporting the Care Team in care matters
- Providing excellent resident care
- Proactively seeking new residents
- Managing operational and financial controls
- Managing staff
- Maintaining audits
- Meeting requirements of the organisation and regulating bodies
Qualifications
- NVQ4/5 qualification ideally
- Good general secondary education to GCSE or equivalent is desirable
- Strong, supportive and clear leadership skills, team working skills and staff management experience
- Sound management experience in a Care/Healthcare environment, ideally an elderly residential care home
- Knowledge of health, safety and welfare and drug administration protocols
- Previous experience working within a Care Home is essential
- Good understanding and experience of CQC and current regulatory requirements
- Experience working with those with dementia
- Excellent understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Best Interest Decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to complete detailed reports and implement detailed procedures
- Excellent organisational skills
- Must be flexible and able to prioritise work
